After a lot of testing I have finally decided I'm not too keen on the Capture NX look after all so have gone back to my custom profiles. Maybe now I should I shoot some more photos before I go blind in front of this screen !

I would like to thank you for sharing your D700 profile. I have been struggling with the same thng. Comparing the base profiles, the new ones Eric has built, I still like yours the best. I am no longer getting the magenta cast in clouds with significant LR adjustments and I prefer your tone curve over the camera neutral one I was using.

Thanks Rory, when Eric has finished refining the Adobe profiles they will probably be much better. I'm not too keen on the NX look myself though so may stick with mine.

ReplyDeleteP.S. I am a big CNX2 user, so the only reason what's keeping me from doing ANY edits on NEFs in LR (I have 2.7 and 3.0 Beta) is the fact that standard profiles are just plain awful.
