Hi and first thank you though I'm not entirely sure what I'm thanking you for yet.
I've just joined the Lightroom party late and wonder what these untwisted/invariant profiles are all about. A friend uses them but also can't really tell me why...can you help me to understand please?
Hi, the best place to look is here http://chromasoft.blogspot.com/2009/02/adobe-hue-twist.html Don't get too hung up on it all though. If you find the colours change or wash out when using the recovery slider then these profiles can help avoid it.

Thanks for your profiles!
ReplyDeleteBTW, if using 7-zip to compress the Invariant pack, it goes from 99MB ZIP to 31MB 7-zip.
7-zip is free and Multi-platform
http://www.7-zip.org/download.html
This nice free multi-plataform file manger also supports 7-zip http://www.mucommander.com/
7-zip is used by Adobe to compress its distributions.
Thanks Nik, apologies it's taken me so long to reply.
ReplyDeleteThe untwisted and invariant profiles do look different when compared to one another.
Oh and by the way, I live only a few miles from Matamp and still play my handmade, hand wired mahogany VOX AC30 with blue speakers...yum!!
