Aperture 3 Discount in the Mac App Store

Apple today launched the mac app store, and one of the surprises was that Aperture is included in the available apps. An even bigger surprise is that it’s selling for only $79.99 compared to $199 for the boxed version. This is a massive price reduction.

Access to the Store requires a Mac running OS X 10.6.6. This operating system version was released today and can be retrieved through the Software Update mechanism of OS X 10.6. Once the new OS version is installed, the Mac App Store is accessed by choosing App Store from the Apple menu or launching the App Store app within the Applications folder.
