I recently sold my fantastic Nikon 14-24mm zoom lens because I was fed up with carrying it around, it was huge and weighed a ton. I have just taken ownership of the old 20mm f/2.8D lens which is tiny in comparison.
If your happy to lug it about you won't find a better ultra wide lens then the 14-24mm at present. If you want practicality then the 20mm is a no brainer. The Lens Correction feature in Adobe Lightroom / ACR works very well with this lens as the above photo shows.
Makes me glad I never bought one = phew! At least Ken Rockwont was right about something :-)
